Our bag fits a wide range of shapes and sizes, whether you’re 5’0” or 6’3″. We made the Flexible Spine length fully adjustable with 3 macro-settings (short, medium and tall), which can then be fine-tuned through micro-adjustment to ensure the best fit. Plenty of length in the straps fits any body shape and strap tidies mean there’s no loose strap ends to worry about. We send a complete fitting guide when you receive the bag to ensure you get your perfect fit.

We did considerable testing with women of all shapes and sizes and the consensus was that our harness was particularly comfortable with chestier women because the chest buckle sits on the sternum and there are no straps sitting on soft tissues. This was reported as superior to the vertical straps of traditional backpacks which place a lot of pressure directly over women’s’ chests, squashing them down, and can be very uncomfortable.

The bag’s capacity is 22 Litres. It contains a padded laptop sleeve which takes a 15” MacBook Pro, and has separate sections for work, a change of clothes and shoes. Plus, it has multiple internal and external pockets with clever features such as an easy-off key holder.

Yes, the bag is 1500mm waterproof and made of tough, smart fabric with a TPU coating and fully waterproof zips.

It is an Active Commute backpack, designed to enable you to run, cycle, walk to work with everything you need for the office (including a laptop) in total comfort. The human body is actually designed to carry weight on your hips. Carrying weight on your shoulders forces the spine out of its natural S-curve shape so it cannot work as it was designed to. Our bags unload your spine and back, allowing better posture and reducing the risk of pain and injury to back and shoulders, both short-term and long-term.

The Motionlab Active Commute is the first backpack in the world to take all the weight off your shoulders. Other bags also put load on the hips, but don’t cater for the wearer’s movements so, after 5 minutes of walking, the hip-belt gets pulled off the hips and all the weight is carried on your shoulders. Our flexible spine moves with your body, allowing complete freedom of movement and ensuring the hip-belt stays in place, centring the weight through your core, so loads feel considerably lighter.

The bag contains multiple hidden pockets and anti-theft zip garages. The hydration pocket doubles up as a secure valuables pocket.

Yes, there is a specially designed hydration pack pocket with elastic loops to hold the hydration tube in place whilst you run and/or cycle.

Yes, we have taken the bag as hand luggage on international flights without any problems. It also fits comfortably into the overhead storage shelf on trains, so you can keep the bag close to you if your commute includes a train journey.
